UNY HK Opens New Lok Fu Department Store
Donated HK$100,000 to The Community Chest in Celebrations
UNY (H.K.) Co., Ltd, a jumbo department store has long been providing Hong Kong consumers with fabulous shopping experiences. Early this month, UNY opened a brand new Department Store in Lok Fu to present residents in the district with a wide selection of merchandises and quality services.
At the Opening Ceremony, Mr Toshio Nakamura, Managing Director of UNY (H.K.) Co., Ltd (left) presented a donation of HK$100,000 to Mr Lincoln Kam-yuen Yu, Board Member of The Community Chest to share their success with the local needy. Mr Yu highly commended UNY for their benevolent initiative and expressed sincere gratitude to the Company for their ardent support over the years.
In addition to their firm commitment in providing excellent services to all customers, UNY set up an outstanding corporate citizenship model and upheld their traditional belief in philanthropy. The Company has initiated the "10-Cent Donation" Campaign to raise funds for The Community Chest. Donation boxes have been set up at high-traffic spots of their department stores to encourage customers to help the underprivileged. The Company also mobilises their staff to participate in the Campaign to boost donation figures. To date, the Campaign has raised an accumulated amount of HK$2.6 million for the Chest.
The Hong Kong Jockey Club, our Partner in charity, generously supports The Community Chest in helping to subsidise our administrative costs, enabling 100% of the donations to be allocated to our 148 member social welfare agencies.
