For the year 2006/2007, The Community Chest will allocate over HK$20 million to support 20 member social welfare agencies to provide "Family and Child Welfare Services". Funds raised through Dress Special Day 2006 will be designated to these agencies.

"Family and Child Welfare Services" cover extensive services ranging from preventive, supportive to remedial social services. The ultimate goal of these services are to maintain and strengthen family bonding; to assist the family members to establish caring relationships; to help them prevent and cope with individual or family problems; as well as to provide assistance for their unmet needs. Details are listed as follows:
To uphold and reinforce the relationships within the family units and to develop caring inter-personal relationship; to prevent personal and family problems and to deal with them when they arise. To provide supportive services to single-parent families and victims of family violence and foster supportive networks.
 
To provide an optimum environment for the children's development and to provide assistance to neglected children. To provide preventive and remedial services concerning child abuses.
 
To promote women's and men's personal growth and development; to enhance their social participation and self-awareness and help them explore their potentials.
