Why should our school join Dress Casual Day?
• It is an opportunity to bring teachers and students closer together.
• It can arouse the social consciousness of students and a chance for them to take part in community services and help people in need.
Will there be any disciplinary problems?
• Participating schools re-affirmed that there has never been any disciplinary problem. Lessons can be conducted as usual.
• You can set dress code or additional behavioral guidelines for the day.
How much workload will be involved? What are the necessary steps?
• Organising the event is simple because we will provide you with all necessary information and details.
• Once you join the event, your co-ordinator will receive a ‘Guide to Campaign Co-ordinator’ which gives him/her step-by-step guidelines, from the planning and promotion of the event, to collection of donations.
How many staff members need to be involved?
• A teacher or staff member can be appointed as the co-ordinator. Your School can also nominate 4-6 students as Student Ambassadors to assist in the organising and promotional work.
Collecting donations can be a time-consuming exercise. How can I minimise the workload?
• The Chest office can provide Donation Boxes upon request.
How can I inform the parents about this event?
• Sample letters with reply slip to parents will be provided for your reference.
What if we are not able to organise this event on 6 October 2016?
• You can choose any other date for this event, e.g. school picnic or Christmas party. Please advise us in advance the date you prefer to hold the event so that we can render assistance accordingly.
When can we collect the promotional materials?
• Your School may choose to collect the materials from the Chest office or Chest to arrange delivery of the materials to your School. A Notice will be sent to your School by email / fax for the distribution of promotional materials. If you do not receive any information from us two weeks before the event date, please call the Chest office at 2599 6127 / 2599 6124.
Can I order additional promotional materials?
• Yes. By filling in the Additional Promotional Materials Request Form and returning it to the Chest office by email (dress@commchest.org) or by fax (2506 1201 / 2506 1267). We shall try our best to fulfill your request and notify you within two working days.
