INTRODUCTION

For two years in a row, the Community Chest’s Walk for Millions had to be held virtually due to COVID-19. The New Territories Walk for Millions 2022/23, scheduled for Sunday, 20 November 2022, will be held at the Cross Bay Link (CBL), Tseung Kwan O (TKO). This represents the return of in-person Walk for Millions for the first time since the outbreak of the pandemic. Members of the public can set foot on the new landmark bridge, which is the first marine viaduct in Hong Kong with a carriageway, cycle track and footpath, and raise funds for Family and Child Welfare Services supported by the Chest.

100% of the funds raised through the Walk programme this year will be designated to support 24 member agencies in providing “Family and Child Welfare Services” to maintain and strengthen family bonding, to encourage mutual support relationship among family members; to help them prevent and cope with individual or family problems; as well as to provide services for their unmet needs.  Please enrol now and help make a difference to the lives of those in need.

Date : 20 November 2022 (Sunday)
Start Time 8:00 am – 12:00 nn
Starting Ceremony 9:00 am (Only applicable to VIPs and Team Representatives attending the Starting Ceremony) 
Route : The walk starts near the junction of Po Yap Road and Po Shun Road in Tseung Kwan O (TKO), then proceed along a new road leading to the TKO Interchange and further onto the Cross Bay Link (CBL) Marine Viaduct.  Walkers will take a return route to the finish point at a landscaped deck of the new road near Tong Yin Street. Total distance is approximately 6 km and it normally takes around 1.5 hours to complete.
Donation Target Each participant to raise HK$300 or above by appealing sponsorship from friends and relatives

 

Due to limited quota for this walk, pre-event enrolment is required. Participants who has made donation of HK$300 or above will be provided a Walk Pass with an assigned time slot for accessing to the Start Point.  Participants have to abide by the prevailing anti-pandemic measures.

Limited quota, enrolment is on a first-come-first-served basis.
