The Community Chest New Territories Walk for Millions 2026 – Fanling Bypass (Eastern Section)

INTRODUCTION

Walks for Millions, the flagship event of the Community Chest, not only raises much needed funds for the needy, but also provides an opportunity for the general public to show their care and support for the disadvantaged in the community.  The forthcoming New Territories Walk will be held on Sunday, 22 March 2026 at a new infrastructure – Fanling Bypass (Eastern Section) before its official opening.  The walk starts near the Shek Wu San Tsuen in Fanling North, proceeds along the newly constructed Fanling Bypass (Eastern Section), passing by the new Lung Yeuk Tau Interchange to the viaducts near Shung Him Tong.  Then walkers need to take a return route to the finish point near the Shek Wu San Tsuen.  Participants can set foot on this new infrastructure for a worthy cause, while enjoying the pleasant sceneries of Ng Tung River to Kau Lung Hang.

This walk is fully supported by Bank of China (Hong Kong).  100% of the funds raised through this event will be designated to support 24 member agencies in providing “Family and Child Welfare Services” to maintain and strengthen family bonding, to encourage mutual support relationship among family members, to help them prevent and cope with individual or family problems, as well as to provide services for their unmet needs.  Please enrol now and help make a difference to the lives of those in need.

 

Date  : 22 March 2026 (Sunday)
Start Time  : 9:00 am – 1:00 pm
Starting Ceremony  : 9:00 am (Only applicable to VIPs and Team Representatives attending the Starting Ceremony)
Route  : The walk starts near the Shek Wu San Tsuen in Fanling North, proceeds along the newly constructed Fanling Bypass (Eastern Section), passing by the new Lung Yeuk Tau Interchange to the viaducts near Shung Him Tong.  Then walkers need to take a return route to the finish point near the Shek Wu San Tsuen.  Total distance is approximately 6 km and it takes around 1.5 hours to finish the entire journey.
Donation Target:  : Each participant to raise HK$300 or above by appealing sponsorship from friends and relatives.
Remarks  : Shuttle Bus transfer to and from the event venue will be provided to all participants with valid Walk Passes. Participants must arrive at the Shuttle Bus Boarding Point at the assigned boarding time stipulated on the Walk Pass. The tentative shuttle bus boarding point is located at Fanling, exact location will be announced soon.
The Community Chest will confirm with participant of the exact shuttle bus boarding time in early March, which is subject to the organiser’s final decision.

 

Due to a limited quota for this walk, pre-event enrolment for participation is required.  A minimum donation of HK$300 or above should be made to confirm the eligibility for participation. The eligible participant must arrive at the Shuttle Bus Boarding Point at the assigned boarding time stipulated on the walk pass.  All participants are required to take the official shuttle bus to and from the event venue.

 

Limited quota, enrolment is on a first-come-first-served basis.
