Project Cotton Tree - Employment and Support Service for Teenage Mother

The project aims at enhancing the health level of young mothers and their children living in Southern and Eastern District in post-natal period through counselling and emotional support groups. One social worker will be employed to provide home visits, and pre-natal and post-natal counselling to the teenage mothers aged 24 or below with young children (around 0 – 36 months), and follow-up service will be provided upon the assessment made. Self-discovery workshops will be organised to facilitate young mothers’ self-understanding, self-reflection and sharing with each other. Pre-school training workshops will be also conducted for young mothers and their children to enhance their parenting skills and parent-child bonding, such as playgroups and messy play, etc.
