The 3rd Community Chest Sports for Millions Raises Over HK$1.9 million for Youth Services

The 3rd Community Chest Sports for Millions was successfully held on Saturday, 8 March 2025 at the Disciplined Services Sports and Recreation Club. Over 30 teams from corporates, disciplinary forces and the Chest’s member agencies participated in four ball game competitions including bowling, table tennis, badminton, and the newly added burgeoning sport pickleball, as well as the finale game, while raising over HK$1.9 million for youth services supported by the Chest. The Chest would like to express heartfelt gratitude to Bank of China (Hong Kong) (“BOCHK”) for its full support for the third consecutive year. Its generosity enables the Chest to allocate all funds raised to support youth services, without deduction of administration expenses. Special thanks also go to more than 70 BOCHK volunteers who provided on-site support that attributed to the smooth operation of the event.

Guests officiating at the kick-off ceremony were: Mr Kwok Joon Fung, Benson, Director of Immigration Department; Mr Chan Tsz-tat, Commissioner of Customs and Excise; Mr Chan Joon Sun, Johnson, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Management); Mr Tong Soen, Acting Deputy Commissioner of Correctional Services (Rehabilitation and Management); Mr Kwok Pak-chiu, Ryan, Assistant Director (Hong Kong Island) of Fire Services Department; Mr Lo Kam Fung, Thomas, Chief Pilot of Government Flying Services (Corporate Safety) (Acting); Mr Stephen Chan, Deputy Chief Executive of BOCHK; Mr Billy Kong, Executive Committee Deputy Chairman and Mr Lionel Lam, Board Member of the Community Chest, joined by the Event Organising Co-chairmen Ms Nikki Ng and Mr Jonathan Zeman.

The awards were handed out by the Guest of Honour Mr Tang Ping-keung, Secretary for Security to the Champions, 1st & 2nd runners up of the corporate and disciplinary forces category.

The Chest would like to express its appreciation to the Security Bureau for providing the Disciplined Services Sports and Recreation Club again as the venue for this event. The Chest is also grateful for the support of major sponsors: China-Hongkong Photo Products Holdings Limited, Dorsett Hospitality International, Lan Kwai Fong Group, Sino Group, Toys“R”Us (Asia) Limited and Wheelock Properties (Hong Kong) Limited.

The Chest would like to thank all the participating corporates, disciplinary forces and the Chest’s member agencies. Special thanks go to the Event Organising Chairman Mr Stanley Sun, Co-chairmen Ms Winnie Chiu, Mr Stephen Fung, Ms Nikki Ng, Mr Douglas Woo and Mr Jonathan Zeman for their support and contribution.
