Press Releases
The Community Chest BEA Charity Golf Day 2025 was successfully held on Friday, 28 March at The Hong Kong Golf Club’s Fanling golf course. In all, 48 teams composed of over 190 golfers showcased their skills, raising a record high of over HK$2.9 million for mental health services supported by the Chest.
To acknowledge the support of all participating teams, sponsors and donors, a Prize Presentation Ceremony was held on Thursday, 24 April at The Bank of East Asia Building in Central. Mr Adrian Li, Co-Chief Executive of The Bank of East Asia, Limited (“BEA”) and Chairman of the event’s Organising Committee, were joined by other Organising Committee members to present prizes and awards to the winning teams, sponsors and donors.
With excellent golf skills, Unique Shipping won the title of Champion and the Best Gross Award. Ryoden Development Charitable Trust and PwC were awarded the First Runner-up and Second Runner-up respectively. Individual awards, including the Longest Drive and Closest to the Pin, were also presented.
The success of the Charity Golf Day would not have been possible without the generous support of BEA. For ten consecutive years, the bank has supported the event as Title Sponsor and Hole-in-One Sponsor, reflecting BEA’s dedication to giving back to society. All funds raised from this event will go to support mental health services provided by the Chest’s member agencies, with no deductions for campaign expenses.
Special thanks to Organising Committee Chairman Mr Adrian Li; Honorary Adviser Mr Bob Chong; and Committee Members Mr Mark Chan, Mr T C Chan, Mr Kenneth Lam, Mr David Lau, Mr Tony Lee and Mr Lam Lo for their contributions.
The Chest would also like to express deep appreciation to The Hong Kong Golf Club for providing a world-class venue and for waiving the green fees. Special thanks to Mr Daniel O’Neill, Tournament Director, for his invaluable professional advice. Last but not least, the Chest is deeply grateful to the hole-in-one sponsors, putting green sponsors, hole sponsors, prize sponsors and donors for their generous support.
