Hong Kong and Kowloon Walk for Millions and New Territories Walk for Millions – GO PARK Sai Sha were successfully held on 19 January 2025 and 16 February 2025 respectively. Over 170 walking teams formed by companies and organisations and individual walkers took part in the two charity walks, and raised over HK$11 million. The Chest would like to extend its sincere appreciation to Bank of China (Hong Kong) for its full support and generous sponsorship. All funds raised will be allocated in full, without deduction of expenses, to fund family and child welfare services provided by the Chest’s member agencies.
To acknowledge the support of walking teams and individual walkers, as well as tremendous support given by various government departments, organisations and uniformed groups, the Community Chest Walks for Millions Cheque & Award Presentation Ceremony was held on 23 May. Miss Alice Mak Mei-kuen, Secretary for Home and Youth Affairs, officiated at the ceremony. Miss Mak was joined by Mr Stanley Sun, Co-chairman of the Campaign Committee and Walks for Millions Organising Committee to present awards and certificates of appreciation to awardees, sponsors and supporting organisations.
The Hong Kong Chinese Enterprises Association won the Challenge Cup and was awarded the Overall Top Fund-raiser. It also won the Team Top Fund-raisers Award of Hong Kong and Kowloon Walk for Millions. Friends of the Community Chest Sai Kung District Committee won the Team Top Fund-raisers Award of New Territories Walk for Millions. Individual Top Fund-raisers Award, HAD District Top Fund-raisers Award and Outstanding Walk Teams Award were also presented at the ceremony.
