The Community Chest Dress Casual Day 2024 Raises over HK$16 Million With Supports from All Walks of Life
2025-07-03

Thanks to the support of more than 260,000 participants from nearly 850 companies, government departments and schools, over HK$16 million was raised from Dress Causal Day 2024. All funds raised, without any deduction of expenses, will be allocated to over 160 social welfare member agencies supported by the Chest to provide a wide variety of social welfare services for those in need.

A Cheque and Award Presentation Ceremony was held on 25 June 2025 to thank supporters with outstanding contributions. Mr KK Chan, the Chief Secretary for Administration of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region officiated at the ceremony and presented the awards, in the company of Ms Diana Cesar, Campaign Committee Chairman and Co-chairman, Mr Stanley Sun; Dress Casual Day Organising Committee Chairman, Mr Benny Wong and Co-chairman, Ms Karen Tsang.

Following its support of Dress Casual Day matching donations in 2022, Tencent Charity Foundation won the overall Top Fund-raiser Award this year. Hang Seng Bank and The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited won the Second and Third Top Fund-raiser Awards respectively. The Top Fund-raiser Award went to Hong Kong Fire Services Department in the civil service sector; and to St Paul’s Convent School (Primary Section) in the educational sector.

Since its inception in 1993, Dress Casual Day has raised accumulatively over HK$550 million with more than 11 million participants. Its success wouldn’t have been possible without the generosity of all participants and corporate supporters: Diamond Sponsors Hang Seng Bank and Nameson Group Limited, Silver Sponsor Shanghai Commercial Bank Limited. Special thanks also go to Harbour City, Times Square and Plaza Hollywood, and Media Partners Headline Daily, Jobsdb by SEEK, Sunday More and Weekend Weekly for their full support.
