The Community Chest is dedicated to serving the people of Hong Kong by raising funds and fulfilling its funding pledges to member agencies. All funds raised, without deduction of administrative expenses, will be allocated in full to 167 member agencies, allowing the agencies to focus on serving the community and providing quality and diverse social welfare services to address imminent social needs.
The Chest is committed to fostering communication and ensuring the proper use of funds by conducting regular visits to member agencies each year. Between September and October this year, the Chest visited 45 member agencies to understand the actual operations of funded services and to ensure the quality and effectiveness of the services.
Dr Simon Kwok, Chairman of the Executive Committee, Professor Patrick Nip Tak-kuen, Chairman of the Public Relations Committee, along with other board and committee members and representatives from corporate donors, participated in several visits. They met with representatives and beneficiaries to engage in in-depth discussions about the current operation and future development directions of the member agencies, and conducted for the 2025/2026 allocations cheque presentation.
