The Community Chest is committed to moving with the times to address imminent needs in society. Despite the economic challenges, the Chest is grateful for the unwavering support received from corporate and individual donors. Over $310 million was raised in the 2024/2025 campaign year. All funds raised, without deduction of administrative expenses, will be allocated to support social services provided by more than 160 member agencies as well as designated funds set up for special purposes.
The Chest held its 2024/2025 Annual Awards Ceremony at Government House on Friday, 27 February 2026. Mrs Janet Lee, President of the Chest, officiated at the event and presented awards to the Top Ten Donors, awardees in three special categories and the President’s Award. “Amidst the economic and social challenges of the past year, the Chest is blessed to have the unwavering support from our donors to fulfil its founding vision of mobilising resources to support and bring hope to those in need.” Mrs Lee said.
The Top Donor, The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited, has a 160-year history in Hong Kong and is one of the Chest’s founding donors. The Chest has been very fortunate to have the unwavering support of the Bank and its charitable foundation. Thanks to their generous donations, matching donations, and staff participation in many Chest events, timely and effective assistance can be provided to people in need.
The Second Top Donor, The Wharf Group, is a valuable supporter of the Chest’s Corporate and Employee Contribution Programme and Sports for Millions, as well as a staunch supporter of Dress Casual Day over the years. Donations are also collected via their shopping mall network.
The Third Top Donor, Cheung Kong Group, has long been an unwavering supporter of the Chest, especially the dollar-to-dollar matching scheme for the donation hotlines of the annual TV show, enabling the Chest to amplify the impact of public donations.
The Fourth to Tenth Top Donor Awards were presented to Sun Hung Kai Properties, Biel Crystal Holdings Limited, Triton Venture Limited, Bank of China (Hong Kong) Limited, Hang Seng Bank, Kong Yiu Man Charitable Foundation Limited, Mrs Tam Mak May Mei Yin, and Sunshine Forever Limited, respectively.
The Partner in Charity Award went to The Hong Kong Jockey Club, whereas HKEX Foundation was recognised with the Partner of Charity Giving Award. In addition, The Bank of East Asia, Limited was presented with The Community Chest Award for Outstanding Service and the Award of Excellence.
Dr Simon Kwok, 2024/2025 Executive Committee Chairman and Ms Diana Cesar, 2024/2025 Campaign Committee Chairman expressed the Chest’s appreciation for the generosity of other donors and presented them with Awards of Excellence, Awards of Distinction and Awards of Merit.

The Hong Kong Jockey Club is presented with the Partner in Charity Award. The Club has been rooted in Hong Kong for 140 years and is the Chest’s valued long-term charity partner. It contributes annually to defray the Chest’s administration expenses, and allows usage of its office premises at a nominal rent since 2000, enabling the Chest to allocate all funds raised to support social services.

HKEX Foundation is presented with the Partner of Charity Giving Award. This awardee has been advancing philanthropy hand in hand with the Chest for over 20 years. The awardee connects the financial sector with the social welfare sector and injects positive energy into the community.

The Bank of East Asia, Limited is presented with The Community Chest Award for Outstanding Service. The awardee served as the title sponsor of the Chest’s Charity Golf Day for the past 10 years. Besides sponsorship, staff members of the organisation also provided pre-event assistance and support on the event day. They have also actively participated in many Chest’s various fundraising activities and received the Award of Excellence as well.
