2017/2018 marks another successful year for Corporate & Employee Contribution Programme (CECP), which shows on the support of over 600 companies, organisations and government departments and their employees. This year the Programme has raised over $149 million – more than half of total funds raised by the Chest.

 

The Cheque and Award Presentation Ceremony was held on 21 May 2018 to thank the donors with outstanding contribution. The awards were presented by Mr Kong Churk-hoi, Billy, BBS, MH, JP, Executive Committee Deputy Chairman of The Community Chest, and 2017/2018 CECP Committee Co-Chairmen.

 

In the Corporate Category, The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited raised over HK$13.5 million and won the Magnificent Award for the 17th consecutive year. With the support of staff and the dollar-to-dollar matching donation by the Hongkong Bank Foundation, the Bank was also the Top Donor of “Green Day”, “Love Teeth Day”, “Skip Lunch Day” and Top Fund-raiser of the “Employee Contribution Programme”.

 

The Jardine Matheson Group, Maxim’s Group, The S H Ho Foundation Limited and The Wharf (Holdings) Limited have contributed generously and were presented with the “Distinguished Awards”. The same award also went to Ding Kuen Charity Fund Limited, which raised an impressive amount of HK$3.5 million in the current campaign year.

 

The “Employee Contribution Programme” has also been widely supported by organisations and government departments with over HK$13 million raised. The Top Three Donors were: The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited, Citi and The Hong Kong and China Gas Company Limited respectively. Citi, by initiating their own fund-raising activity, “Rainbow Day”, has raised over HK$1.2 million and was presented with “Highest Donation Award” in Donation Drive. The Hong Kong and China Gas Company Limited has worked with their staff in promoting “CARE Scheme” since it launched and received  “Highest Donation Award” of the Scheme.
