Funds raised will go to family & child welfare services funded by The Community Chest member agencies. Enrol NOW and be the first ones to step on this newest transport link!
The Walk for Millions is a signature and popular fund-raiser of The Community Chest since it started in 1971, it is also meant to be a fun event with a new route for walkers every time, and bringing in donation to help Hong Kong’s needy at the same time. The 2019 route, about 5.3 km in distance 3.7 km of which are in a tunnel, starts from Edinburgh Place in Central and finishes at Oil Street at North Point. It takes about two hours to complete the walk and there are no exit routes along the way.
Following overwhelming response from corporations and other organisations, the event is now open to the members of the public who can join the walk by purchasing a walk pass at $500 each. The pass is for use by one person only.
To make it a pleasant walk for everyone, each walker is assigned a start time at either 7:30 am or 8:00 am when they will assemble at a designated area, have their walk pass checked before starting. Anyone without a valid walk pass will not be able to take part in the walk.
To purchase a walk pass, please visit Cityline and designated branches of Tom Lee Music outlets, call Cityline purchase hotline: 2111 5333, or visit The tickets are selling fast, enrol now!
The Community Chest would like to thank Bank of China (Hong Kong) for their generous sponsorship of its 50th Anniversary Walk for Millions such that all donations, without deduction of administrative expenses, would be used on the services.

About The Community Chest of Hong Kong
The Community Chest of Hong Kong was established in 1968 as an independent, non-profit making organisation neither funded nor operated by the Government. Each year, the Chest organises fund-raising events for over 160 member social welfare agencies to provide services to more than two million beneficiaries in Hong Kong in six major areas of services: children & youth, elderly, family & child welfare, medical & health, rehabilitation & aftercare, and community development. The Chest’s administration expenses come from a subsidised grant from our partner-in-charity, The Hong Kong Jockey Club, in addition to income from investments. This allows the Chest to allocate 100% of funds raised to charitable use; this operations model makes the Chest unique among its peers, and helps fulfil its mission to act as trustee of the donors.
