#WEARTOGO Spreading Goodness Wherever You Go Community Chest Dress Casual Day 2019
2019-09-26
Here we go again! This year’s Community Chest Dress Casual Day will take place on 10 October, a day for students, office executives and participants all around Hong Kong to dress down, enjoy the day and give back to society. To highlight this year’s theme, WEAR TO GO, several artists have joined hands to give this year’s Dress Casual Day a stylish makeover!

Dress Casual Day 2019 was launched on 24 September at The Penthouse, Hang Seng Bank Headquarters and officiated by the Chief Secretary for Administration of the HKSARG the Honourable Matthew Cheung in the company of Campaign Committee Chairman Dr Simon Kwok, Dress Casual Day Organising Committee Chairman Mr Donald Lam, and Co-Chairman Mr Benny Wong.

This year’s theme, WEAR TO GO, encourages participants to bring goodness and kindness wherever they go. To get the message across, local illustrator Vincy Cheung has designed the key visual for Dress Casual Day 2019. Also attending the launching ceremony were pop singer Jason Chan along with rising stars Cath Wong, Mischa Ip and Lester Chong who appeared in this year’s thematic video. They are going to greet participants at schools and organisations on the event day.

Individual participants can enroll with a donation of HK$70 or more. Students from participating schools can make donations of any amount. For details, please visit the Dress Casual Day webpage at app.commchest.org/event/DCD2019/en to participate, or contact the Chest at 2599 6111. For the latest news on the event, please go to our Facebook page: www.facebook.com/commchestHK. All funds raised will be allocated to 163 social welfare member agencies without deduction of administrative expenses.

Since its first launch in 1993, Dress Casual Day has become one of the most anticipated charity events around Hong Kong’s schools and offices. In 2018, Dress Casual Day has raised nearly HK$19 million with over 330,000 participants.

The Community Chest of Hong Kong is grateful to Diamond Sponsor: Hang Seng Bank; Platinum Sponsor: Opal Cosmetics (Hong Kong) Limited; Silver Sponsors: Ming Kee Manufactory Ltd., Nameson Group, Shanghai Commercial Bank Limited; as well as Harbour City, Times Square and Plaza Hollywood for their full support.
