Project Detail

Deprived families suffer from economic difficulties and low-self image. Social worker will carry out a need assessment of the family and follow up by brief case counselling and making referrals. They are motivated to participate in volunteers service and mutual help groups, so as to contribute their time to help others. During the process, the parents can become role models to their children, especially the fathers, who can demonstrate positive ways to overcome the difficulties. It is expected that through the empowerment process, the families will become contributing members in the district.
