HKEX Charity Partnership Programme Donates HK$20 Million To Support 10 Community Projects provided by The Community Chest’s member agencies
2020-12-23
In celebration of the 20th anniversary of its own listing, Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEX), HKEX Foundation Limited has set up the HKEX Charity Partnership Programme and made a generous donation of HK$20 million to The Community Chest of Hong Kong (the Chest). Through supporting services offered by the Chest’s social welfare member agencies, the programme aims to address various social and environmental challenges. In early December, after careful deliberation, the Chest announced the 10 projects approved for funding.
HKEX Charity Partnership Programme is focusing on four major themes: Financial Literacy, Social Diversity and Inclusion, Poverty Relief and Environmental Sustainability. It aims to support the development of the community and the needs of society, to foster mutual help in the community, and to make contributions to the long-term sustainability of Hong Kong. The programme was open for application from eligible member agencies of the Chest. The 10 most cost–effective and impactful service projects were approved by Admissions, Budgets and Allocations Committee of the Chest and allocated funds.
